Dancing All Night laat de traditionele RPG gameplay achter zich en gaat voor, zoal de titel suggereert, voor een muziek game. Net als de Persona 4 Arena fighting game spinoffs zal Dancing All Night wel nog steeds een verhaal gedreven game zijn. De game bevat zowel nieuwe als oude muziek uit de vorige Persona 4 games.
