Omschrijving

Het is de bedoeling van Batman (wederom gespeeld door Christian Bale) om de georganiseerde misdaad in Gotham voor eens en altijd uit te roeien. Hij kan dit niet alleen en heeft de hulp van Jim Gordon (gespeeld door Gary Oldman) en de openbare aanklager Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) nodig om dit voor elkaar te boksen. Dit wordt al snel te moeilijk als ze door The Joker (gespeeld door Heath Ledger) worden uitgedaagd. Hij verandert Gotham in een totale anarchie en zorgt ervoor, dat Batman meer als een burgerwacht dan als een held wordt gezien. The Joker wil niets liever dan Batman vermoorden. Of hij daar in slaagt zul je in de film zelf moeten zien natuurlijk.
