The first version of Electronic Arts' boxing franchise for the PlayStation 2, Knockout Kings 2001 allows gamers to play with 40 past and present champions. Various gameplay modes are comprised of Slugfest, Exhibition, and Fantasy Fights in addition to a comprehensive career mode that follows your created boxer from his beginnings all the way to the championship. Other extras include four women boxers, commentary by Al Bernstein, Max Kellerman, and Teddy Atlas, and more than 1000 new motion captured moves, three boxing styles, and various signature and specialty punches.
